Hancock… Super’flop’ or Super’hero’ ???

It usually doesn’t take me very much to run to the cinema to catch the latest Super-hero movie. Batman, Superman, Spiderman… I love them all. Perhaps it’s the lycra, or maybe the inner-child in me screaming for some attention. I don’t think I’ll ever know. However, Hancock had me in a bit of a stalemate. I haven’t heard any good reviews about it (and I usually bank on word-of-mouth), but equally… I haven’t heard any bad reviews about it either.

So because of the flooring issues, B and I went off to watch Hancock.

Well… it was ok. Not brilliant, not awe inspiring and certainly not a masterpiece. It’s a one-off, not something a franchise could be built out of. Go see it for a laugh, but don’t expect much else.

Wall-E is better!

The Day of the Performance!

Tonight I perform with The London Gay Men’s Chorus at Cadogan Hall. This will be my first major concert with the chorus, and am I nervous… well… I’ve been to the loo about 10 times. I feel like a nervous puppy!

My parents even sent flowers from South Africa (THANK YOU!!!). They’re gorgeous!

I guess that’s it, off to the hall I go. Warm-ups await!

I got my shirt back!!!

When I was in South Africa in April… I left one of my favourite shorts at me parent’s house. Stupid me!

My mother, bless her cotton socks, posted the thing over to me… so I have it back now! I did ge some pretty strange looks at the post office though as my mother had written on the package:

Content: 1 x old shirt from his mommy. NEVER DO THIS AGAIN!

Embarrasment level…. 10!

Thanks Mom! Love you!

Wimbledon Centre Court is getting a new roof!

For those of you who have been watching the tennis at Wimbledon this year, you’ll have noticed that Centre Court is in the process of getting a new roof. The new design is quite fascinating… and you can see how it’ll look next year below.

Dark Ivy

The ivy that hung around the carport and garage was thick and full of history. The dark green and brown colours spanned the entire length of the building and small wisps of branch were making their way onto the roof of the building itself. Many would have said that the carport itself was the place that was mysterious and full of strange happenings but it was in fact the long, dark outbuilding that grew under the walnut tree which held the darkest and scariest stories!

The door to the building was only five feet away from the carports rear wall. Only 5 feet high, many visitors had to bend down to enter the dank and musky room. There were two steps down into the room which gave the entrant enough room to stand up without having to slouch. There were no windows, so the only light that came into the building was through the open doorway, and through the small gaps that were between the roof and the walls themselves. This building was definitely not regulation, which meant it was not on any planning authority books.

The beginning of a Project!

Well… I started it. Have a read of the project page I have put together which will outline what I’m trying to do. All future pages in this particular category will form part of the project.

Comments please! (if you want to of course!)
